NIedchat is a Twitter based chat. It takes its inspiration from other education chats on Twitter most notably the US based #edchat and UK based #UKedchat.
Education in Northern Ireland is evolving quickly and there are issues that we face here which are peculiar to us and are not therefore raised in the other Twitter discussions. For that reason a small group of teachers who talk regularly on Twitter have decided to set up their own chat. It does not aim to compete with the other chats but it does aim to provide a niche discussion for issues which affect Northern Ireland.
#NIedchat meets ever Wednesday at 8.30pm (UK & Ireland). New contributors are always welcome.
